| Ramon Miramontes
Ramon Miramontes has spent most of his adult life as an educator. Ramon's commitment to service continues to this day, as an executive board member of MPYD. He has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local high school students by writing grants and fundraising for scholarship money.
Most recently, Ramon participated on Pasadena Unified School District's Master Facilities Planning Committee where he advised on aligning future facilities priorities with grade configurations and future enrollment trends. Moreover, he actively helped support the recent school bond Measure TT.
As the current Dean of Academic Affairs at Los Angeles Southwest College, Ramon is the chief college administrator in the evening, as well as the lead administrator establishing non-credit college courses, workforce certificates and vocational English as a Second Language programs.
In his previous role as Chancellor's Liaison, Ramon advised the district's chief executive officer on Latino and governmental affairs and was integral in the creation of a comprehensive communication strategy for Los Angeles Community College District's academic division and community outreach. Previous positions also include the role of Associate Dean of Academic and Governmental Affairs at East Los Angeles College.
Ramon is a current member of the Windsor Arroyo Neighborhood Association's executive board.
