Lunch with the Future

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming two special guests: Dr. Lawton Gray 🎓, principal of John Muir High School, and Mr. Shakoor 📘, a math teacher at John Muir High School.

Dr. Gray spoke to our young men about the challenges and opportunities that come after high school, encouraging them to take full advantage of their time now. He shared his own story and background, letting them know that he once stood exactly where they are today. He ended his talk with a fun game, rewarding the winners with gift cards 🎁.

Mr. Shakoor spoke about the importance of lifelong learning. He emphasized that even if college isn’t the path you choose, it’s essential to learn a trade, develop a skill, or find a productive way to earn a living. He reminded our young men that having a skill set is something everyone needs to secure their future 💪.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this possible and continues to support us. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. Thank you! 👍🏾
