Managing Director
Jonathan Stephens
Jonathan Stephens is a Pasadena native as well as a John Muir alumnus. While at John Muir, he was very active on campus participating in BSU, athletics, and co-founding the student-athlete club with his older brother. He graduated from John Muir High School in 2018 and went to continue his education at San Francisco State University. With support from places such as Bank of America, the Jackie Robinson Foundation, and the All Ways Up Scholarship, Jonathan accumulated close to six-figures in scholarships to support his college career through mentorship and financial contributions. While at San Francisco State, Jonathan tailored his education to align his passion with his purpose. Majoring in Africana studies with a minor in Education, his dedication to social justice and supporting the youth through education and mentorship pushed him to achieve his goals and commit to making a positive change in the lives of the youth. Over the past few years, he spent time as a paraprofessional at La Canada High School supporting students with mild to severe special needs. He then went on to be a substitute teacher in the Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire where he had 2 successful long-term assignments resulting in increased attendance in class and an increase in grades. Jonathan looks to use both his lived experience and professional experience to help MPYD students become the best versions of themselves.
